Hello! I’ve got a Diesel generator with alternator KDE6500E3 output
5.5/6.3KVA voltage 400/230(416/240)V current 7.9/(8.7)A engine speed
3000/3600r/min I want max power at 220V. I don’t use 380V For you is a good
think to switch alternator from Star configuration to triangle? Thk you!

The manufacturer went out of business, but hear they have started up again.
The Generators are ok, but state their maximum running wattage. Try to only
run 3/4 of the stated wattage to make sure you get a long life from your
generator.

Generator Guru, You are a God send man. I am going to your site right now
to sent an e-mail or call tomorrow if I cnt get an e-mail to you with the
info on my set and see if you can put me on the right AVR for it. Its a
Chicago Electric set, and I replaced the AVR, but the new AVR only gives 96
volts for the 110 ports and 200 or soo for the 220 ports…. I must have
the wrong AVR =( Hope you can help me find the right one. Thanks for your
excellent videos, carry on.

hello sir; ricky clark pell city alabama ; i have a briggs 10hp generac
5500 powerboss storm plus . im only getting 120v from blue wire / only
reading 2.9 volts from grey hot wire . watched your video , pulled cover
off , their is no AVR to be found . there is brackets where is looks like
one should be . theres also a black wire thats capped off . ? where to go
from here ??? thanks so much . ive enjoyed your videos . thank you , ricky

Howdy,Yesterday, Power went out had the generator pluggin away. actually
the second time using it since new. I noticed i lost some of the circuits
i had open for the generator to run. i went to the generator and tested
the output. Only half the receptacles were putting out pwer. the other
circuits were fine. seems like i lost the 240 volt out put. like only one
leg was working. Any help would be appreciated big time before i start the
repair job….Thanks, Tim ( TROY-BILT #01919)

I’m using a cheap china made portable generator and it fried my adapter for
my modem. What are cheaper options aside from line conditioners that I can
use to protect my electronics? Maybe surge protector or like an avr for my
computer? I just need my modem and a few lights working.

hi there, quick question does an AVR on a generator protect sensitive
electronics ie. computers, laptops and tvs, so they can be ran off the
generator and do all generators have AVR’s or can one retrofit an AVR

hi i have a duro max 4400 generator it has power out of the coils and it
shows power on the gauge but when i turn on the breaker it goes stright to
0 volts if i hold the breaker switch in the middle it outputs power or if i
put in on the 220v it outputs power but no power shows up on the gauge what
might be causing this
