Full video footage of the Missa de Sanctissimo Eucharistiæ Sacramento (Mass of the Most Holy Sacrament of the Eucharist) offered by His Eminence Joseph Cardinal Zen Ze-kiun, Bishop Emeritus of Hong Kong, on January 29, 2016, at the Asilo de la Milagrosa Chapel in Cebu City, Philippines. The Mass was offered during the week of the 51st International Eucharistic Congress held in Cebu City.
Though not an official part of the lineup of the Eucharistic Congress, the Traditional Latin Mass offered by Cardinal Zen shines as a beacon of hope for all faithful Roman Catholics — especially Cebuanos and Visayans — who thirst for reverent, authentic, and fitting worship of God in the Sacred Liturgy and an intimate encounter with Him in the sense of the sacred.
Two other Traditional Masses were also held that week at the Archdiocesan Shrine of San Pedro Calungsod at D. Jakosalem St., Cebu City:
(1) a Missa recitata (Said or Spoken Mass) of the Feast of the Converion of Saint Paul offered by Fr. Joseph S. Skelton, Jr. (Diocese of Tagbilaran); and
(2) a Missa cantata (Sung Mass) of the Dedication of a Church (Commune Dedicationis Ecclesiæ) offered by Fr. Michell Joe Zerrudo (Diocese of Cubao) in celebration of the anniversary of the dedication of the Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral Church.
