2001 DODGE RAM CUMMINS CLOGGED DRAIN BACK CHECK VALVE LOCATION AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION

TRUCK’S DASHBOARD LIT THE “OD OFF” AND “TRANS OIL TEMP” LIGHT ON AND HAD DELAYED SHIFTING. REPLACED THE GOVERNOR SOLENOID KIT 0 AND STARTED DOING A A/T OIL FLUSH. THERE WAS NO A/T OIL FLOW AT THE OIL COOLANT LINES. DISCONNECTED LINES AND PUT COMPRESSED AIR AND NO FLOW. REMOVED AIR COOLED OIL COOLER AND IT WAS FINE. MANY ASE CERTIFIED MECHANICS SAID IT HAD CHECK VALVES AT THE COOLER LINES INSIDE THE QUICK DISCONNECT RUBBER LINE BUT NOTHING. FINALLY TOOK OUT THE WATER COOLED OIL COOLER AND THERE IT WAS INSIDE THE THREADED CONNECTOR COUPLER. IT IS ONE OF THE COUPLERS YOU HAVE TO SEE INSIDE THERE WILL BE A SPRING AND A BEAD BALL INSIDE. THE OTHER COUPLER IS OPEN. I KNOW THAT IN THE VIDEO I JUST POINTED TO ANY COUPLER BUT ONCE YOU REMOVE IT YOU WILL SEE THE COUPLER CHECK VALVE.
