Just sharing another success story. I actually have two units, one with
the auto off switch and one without. Luckily the one with the switch was
the worst – but glad I caught the second was getting clogged too!

I’ve noticed water leaking near the roof on the side of the residence and
then checked my ac unit in attic…completely dry on the dripping pan. I’m
not sure if it’s coming from my ac unit. Where else could it be coming
from?

I have water coming out of both PVC pipes(two story house)One low to the
ground,and one way too high to reach.how would I use the shop vac to clear
it out?is there a way of doing it with having to go into the attic.there is
a small shower window right below it can it be done from the outside(out
the window) instead?

I have been checking the videos for a remedy. My secondary pan was filling
it also had a rust hole and of course the ceiling got stained. (As I
discovered)
Trying to figure out what happened to the primary pan since I paid an AC
guy to fix the problem (which he said he did) that. He put a float switch
in and the unit shut off after 48 hours(still collecting water in the
secondary) I think it is a drain issue (AC guy is not taking the blame for
faulty repair – says I may have a crack in the primary pan) and I will
follow your advice, Just wondering do you also do the FREON when needed? NO
AC guy bills would be a good thing and I am learning. Thanks p.s. going to
buy Panseal to take care of the nasty hole in the pan. Found that on
YOUTUBE also.

I am an HVAC tech and have been for over 25 years. This method is great.
One thing I would add, is go ahead and open your indoor blower panel and
poor about a gallon of hot water in the pan. Let it run out and make sure
you have cleared the condensate line the whole way. I do this after every
plug job, just to cut back on unnecessary call back and possible damage to
the home. Other than that, great work buddy.

I have a 2 story brick home and this drain pipe comes out of the second

Just had to clean mine out again. (Yes, I’m the guy in the video) This
reminded me of a few points not well covered in the video. My symptoms this
time were: my house was 80°, and my thermostat display was completely blank
(no power). I went out to the air handler and pulled out the float switch
(as shown in the video at 58 seconds). When I did this, my thermostat
display returned to normal. Bingo, suspicions confirmed! So I got out my
trusty shop vac, went out and cleared the line. Point to note: it took some
serious suction to get the flow to start, but keep pulling, you’ll get
through.

much talk like most other videos. Video footage are very stable, not

Great video! my question is I have two drain lines it appears…both going
directly into my sump pump, which is right next to the unit. one is in the
front of the unit and the other is behind the unit. which one do I unclog??
PLEASE HELP..WATER LEAKING

Excellent video. Thank you very much. I just had to do this and your
instructions were perfect. I started by buying a 1.5 gallon wetvac from
Walmart for $29.00 and then came home and followed your instructions. Saved
at least $100. Thanks!
